In January of 2018, Brain Arts took over management and operations of the Dorchester Art Project, a community arts center in the Fields Corner neighborhood of Dorchester. In addition to housing 12 private artist studios, DAP features two gallery spaces and a small performance hall. The space now serves as the home base for Brain Arts Org, including our weekly volunteer meetings.

Since their first collaboration nearly 10 years ago, Brain Arts’ founders have strived to make groundbreaking, under-represented art and music accessible to the people of Greater Boston. Now, with a space of our own, we are able to serve even more artists, and have expanded our programming to include regular art shows, an artist-in-residency program, and even after school art and music activities for Dorchester students.

Inclusivity is at the core of our organization’s mission and as such all shows and events at the Dorchester Art Project are available to people of all ages. We are thrilled to bring our operations to Dorchester and anxious to work with residents and existing Dorchester institutions to serve our new neighborhood and provide platforms for artists who are already here. As a safe, all ages venue, it is our goal to ensure that art and music are available to all who seek it out.
